Over 1,500 officials and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Yobe on Tuesday defected to APC saying, they regretted voting Atiku Abubakar, PDP candidate in the presidential election.

Director General, Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress APC, Rotimi Amaechi has said the long years of misrule of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP caused hunger in the land, asking Nigerians to direct their anger towards the PDP and not President Muhammadu Buhari.

Spokesman of the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress, PCC, Festus Keyamo (SAN) has challenged the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, to proceed with his suit in court over the results of the February 23rd presidential and parliamentary elections which saw the APC candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari thrashing Atiku to emerge winner.  Keyamo, in a statement on Tuesday, said the APC is fully ready and anxiously waiting to meet Atiku in court.

Ahead of the forthcoming governorship and state houses of ssembly elections slated for March 9, the PDP in Plateau has accused the APC of “plotting to rig the polls” .

ABUJA—-The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, have filed a motion to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to surrender all the materials that were used for the February 23 presidential election, for inspection.
