The Nigeria Lawmakers Opposition Coalition has revealed that 40 legislators and two additional governors are on the verge of defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing disillusionment with the party’s leadership and direction.

“It is very sad and unfortunate because, to me, if there’s any state that should think that way, it’s not Delta, because the party is very magnanimous.

Former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, yesterday, expressed sadness over the removal of Siminalayi Fubara as governor of Rivers State, saying the declaration of a state of emergency by President Bola Tinubu was in breach of the constitution.

DESPITE the push by the anti-Tinubu coalition, led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, to mobilise against the President in the 2027 Presidential election, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Segun Sowunmi, yesterday, insisted that the party will not be forced into a nebulous coalition.
