NNPC Limited has issued a reversed pricing template per litre for petrol bought from Dangote Refinery with the NMDPRA (Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority) fee reduced by half from N8.99 to N4.495.

Following the loading of petrol from Dangote Refinery, NNPC Limited has released new pump price across the country with additional cost for consumers.

THE Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), said its purchasing portal would be reopened as soon as the backlog of orders for petrol was cleared.

The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has warned that any backdoor joint venture partnership between the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC and Sahara Energy will not be acceptable to the Ogoni people.

“NNPC Limited has no desire or intention to become the distributor for any entity in a free market environment”

MURIC had suggested that recent adjustments in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) would prevent the Dangote Refinery from offering competitive prices and claimed that NNPC had become the sole offtaker for the refinery’s products.

THE National Working Committee, NWC of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP has taken a swipe at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL and the All Progressives Congress, APC led Federal Government over the recent fuel price increase.

The NNPC vice president said the supplies to Dangote are part of the Federal Government’s strategy to sell crude oil to local refineries.

Marketers have expressed strong concerns over the designation of NNPC Limited as the sole off-taker of petrol from the Dangote Refinery, warning that the move could create a monopoly and lead to profiteering in the downstream sector of the petroleum industry.

The new pump price of petrol for NNPC retail station in Enugu state is N885 per liter.

This is an increase of over 45 percent. Checks at NNPC retail stations in Abuja reflected the new price.
