As the calendar turns to 2026, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has vowed that it will not accept empty promises from the government, declaring its resolve to push for immediate improvements in workers’ welfare, national security, and social justice.

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has warned that Nigerian workers and the masses are facing the worst survival crisis in the nation’s history, driven by rising inflation, deepening insecurity, poor wages and the collapse of social protection systems.

It noted that the planned protest would be peaceful but resolute and aimed at compelling the government to act decisively.
