Kwankwaso’s defection wrecks no havoc to APC – Gov Ganduje

Defection of the former governor of Kano state, Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso alongside other parliamentarians, to the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) has been described by the governor of Kano state Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as not being enough a reason to cause havoc to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Associates of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (RMK), a former governor of Kano State, converged in Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos to celebrate his 61st birthday. The associates were drawn mainly from Lagos and the South-West. Also in attendance were representatives of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).

Kano State government has renamed its Northwest University as Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano. The Northwest University is one of the two state-owned universities established by Kwankwaso Administration.

Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the Eastern Consultative Assembly, ECA, Enugu Collectives and the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB have condemned the call by the former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on Igbo leaders to apologise and disown the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, over their agitation for self-determination, describing the call as “bunkum.”
