A Federal High Court in Lagos, has fixed June 28, for re-arraignment of an embattled former Governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose, facing charges of N6.9billion fraud.

LAGOS—A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, yesterday, adjourned till June 28 the re-arraignment of former governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, who is standing trial over alleged N3.3 billion fraud.

The Chief Judge(CJ) of the Federal High Court has transferred the trial of the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, charged with alleged N6.9 billion fraud, to a new judge.

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday, further adjourned until June 10, the trial of embattled former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, facing N6.9 billion fraud charges.

Immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has urged Nigerians not to give up, but keep hope alive on the challenges presently facing the country.

Moves by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to transfer the trial of the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, from Justice Mojisola Olatoregun of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos to another judge may have failed as the trial continued today, with the 11th prosecution witness, Mr. Sunday Alade telling the court how the N1.2 billion allegedly given to former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose from the Office of National Security Adviser (ONSA) was moved to the state.
