The governor of Ekiti state, Chief Ayodele Fayose has on Monday signed into law, bill prohibiting secret cults and terrorism, noting that anyone caught sponsoring or practicing cultism would be sentenced to death as a punishment for violating the law.

‎Former Senate Deputy Chief Whip between 1999 and 2003, Gbenga Aluko on Sunday accused Governor Ayo Fayose, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ forum of making surreptitious moves to join the All Progressives Congress(APC), having realized that the PDP can’t win the impending election.

Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Ayodele Fayose, has advocated the conduct of primary election among the national chairmanship aspirants in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Southwest geopolitical zone, so as to have a solid front in the coming national convention of the party.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has questioned the rationale behind the Federal Government’s hiring of consultants from Malaysia with the sum of N458 million to help Nigeria build her economic capacity, saying; “the federal government’s action is a clear vote of no confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari’s government and economic experts in the country.”

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has told President Muhammadu Buhari to stop being hypocritical about his fight against corruption and rid his government of corrupt elements first, saying; “Someone needs to tell the President that Nigerians no longer believe in his anti-corruption fight because he harbours the most corrupt Nigerians in his government.”
