Edo community alleges marginalisation by govt

THE people of Ewu community in Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State have alleged neglect and marginalization by successive governments at the local, state and federal levels in terms of appointments into political and public offices, provisions of infrastructure and human capacity development.

—Edo Forum of Patriots, comprising political leaders and professionals in Edo State, has written to the state governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki,  expressing its concern over what it described as the sad state of the proposed University of Education, Ekiadolor, and appealed to the governor to hasten the processes which will transform the College of Education, Ekiadolor, to a university in order not to jeopardise the future of both students and staff of the College of Education.

GOVERNOR Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has told senior civil servants in the state that he intends to implement the 2018 budget to the letter and vowed to query any civil servant who failed to respond to memos within 72 hours.
