ABUJA – Despite the outcome of the recent governorship election in Osun state in which Nigerian music star, David Adeleke aka Davido, displayed an uncommon solidarity for one of the top contenders who lost the poll, youths under the umbrella of League of Concerned Democratic Youths of Nigeria, LCDYN, have urged the musician to seek political office in 2019.

Davido, Tiwa Savage, Ramsey Nouah, Funke Akindele, Bovi and more have been nominated in the maiden edition of Greenview Awards set to hold on  November 11, 2018.

It has become very fashionable in recent times for Africa and Africans to ape the Western World on issues of social development; what with the advent of and proliferation of social media, it has become easy to be in the know of what happens in any part of the world in real time without leaving the comfort of one’s home.

But Davido — real name David Adedeji Adeleke — has recently been more focused on party politics and getting his uncle elected as governor of his home state of Osun this weekend.

Singer, Davido has been in the news for sometime now; from registering for the National Youth Service Corp and immediately leaving camp for a musical tour abroad, to of recent, joining the campaign trail of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke who is contesting to become the governor of Osun state.
