With barely four months to the 2019 general elections, Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will turn his attention to turning around the education and infrastructural sectors of the nation’s economy if elected into office, a member of the party’s Board of Trustees, BoT, has said.

NOW that Mr. Peter Obi, former governor  of Anambra State is the running mate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 general elections, it is necessary to address the group of South East governors who complained about his emergence. Only three of the five states in the South East have PDP governors, namely Ebonyi – Chief Dave Umahi, Abia – Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, and Enugu – Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

ABUJA—With less than a month to the commencement of official campaigns by candidates and political parties for the 2019 elections, presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Peter Obi, have taken to social media to woo electorate with sundry promises of what they will do if elected.

THE National President of the Association of South East Town Unions, ASETU, Emeka Diwe, yesterday said the association was in support of the nomination of the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, as running mate to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential standard-bearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

ONITSHA—AS part of their appreciation for picking a South Easterner as his running mate in the forthcoming 2019 presidential election, the youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo says it has concluded plans to carry  out a two million-man march to galvanize support for  Alhaji Atiku Abubakar,  the  presidential candidate of  Peoples Democratic Party, PDP   and his running mate, Peter Obi.
