Voter apathy, late commencement of voting and allegations of vote-trading yesterday, shaped the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja Area Council elections and bye-elections in Kano and Rivers states, even as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and security agencies described the exercises as peaceful and orderly.

So, it was on that basis that Tinubu reached out to Nuhu and adopted him as a (presidential) candidate.
