The Minister of Transportation and the leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the South-South region, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi, has said he will not impose candidates on the party in the forthcoming elections.

ABUJA—Peoples ABUJA—Peoples  Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday, challenged the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to immediately test its popularity among Nigerians by conducting free, fair and credible local council elections in states under its leadership.The party in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan, said its recent victory in Osun federal parliamentary by-election, coupled with its success in recently conducted council polls in Ekiti and Delta states, were a confirmation of its acceptance by the people.

As we keep on singing the change mantra, we urge all and sundry to key into this vision and it can only be reality in Delta State come 2019 if we divulge our mind from eating only today syndrome but securing our tomorrow.

The All Progressives Congress, APC  in Delta State yesterday reiterated its rejection of the just concluded Local government elections in the State Following the announcement of the results of the last two Local Government Areas by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC), noting that the award of three wards victories to APC in Evwreni Ward 8 , Orogun Ward 5, both in Ughelli-North Local Government Area and Abraka Ward 1 In Ethiope-East Local Government Area is an indication that the election was a sham.
