380 dead bodies abandoned in Anambra mortuaries

A total of 380 unclaimed dead bodies have been abandoned in mortuaries in Anambra State since 2006. A break-down of the corpses showed that most of them were victims of religious crisis in the Northern parts of Nigeria, accidents and those killed by armed robbers.

Anambra 2013: INEC unveils 23 guber candidates

FIFTY-TWO days to the November 16 governorship elections in Anambra State, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, yesterday, unveiled the names of 23 candidates that will do battle for the Anambra top job. In the list, there are only four female deputy governorship candidates. The rest are men.
