An Osun High Court in Osogbo on Monday dismissed a fresh suit challenging Sen. Ademola Adeleke as the Peoples’ Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for the Sept. 22 gubernatorial election in the state.

Two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in Osun state have filed a suit at an Osogbo High Court challenging the candidacy of Sen. Ademola Adeleke as the party’s flag bearer in the Sept. 22 governorship election.

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke has reassured the people of the state of fairness and just treatment if elected governor on September 22, declaring that he is on a mission to set the state free from oppressive rule.

Sen. Ademola Adeleke, the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun for Sept. 22 election, said the Wednesday State High Court judgment had vindicated him.

Justice David Oladimeji of the Osun state High court sitting in Osogbo Wednesday dismissed a suit challenging the eligibility of Senator Ademola Adeleke as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the September 22nd governorship election in the State.

DEPUTY National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Prince Duran Odeyemi, has cautioned the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies against moves to use their men to harass and intimidate PDP leaders especially the governorship candidate of the party, Senator Ademola Adeleke. The party was of the opinion that some powerful members of the ruling party are using policemen to harass Adeleke over ‘largely unsubstantiated allegations regarding his certificate’.

A fresh suit over Senator Ademola Adeleke’s certificate has again been filed against him at an Osun state high court sitting in Osogbo.

There,appeared to be more trouble for Senator Ademola Adeleke as detectives from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have commenced investigations into the allegations of certificate forgery against the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun state.
