EDO State governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole yesterday in Benin said that the state government would not accept the downward review of the remuneration package of political office, public and judicial office holders, saying that he has serious reservations about it.

In an interview with newsmen, Mrs. Eda Ekemere said the decision to donate the tiles and to undertake the cost of the laying of the tiles was informed by her determination to contribute her quota to the development of the broadcasting station.

THE industrial dispute between the Niger-Delta River Pilots Association in Delta State and the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA), Warri over piloting of vessels in the waterways of the state by indigenous pilots has been amicably resolved between the two sides by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State .

According to him, “irrespective of the beauty and good intention of the draft law, if passed as it is without a clear and unambiguous statement on the roles, and defined participation and stakeholding of respective oil-bearing groups and communities, the law will not achieve its desired results as crisis and agitations from host communities will remain unresolved.”
