By Aliyu Dangida DUTSE — Jigawa state Magistrate Court sitting in Dutse, last week, turned down an application seeking for a court order to conduct a DNA test on Mallam Sani Maje, who was accused for impregnating his sister in-law.

At least 25, 000 people have benefited from the Eko free health screening in Lagos State for various health
services including free consultation and treatment for diverse ailments of dental, general and optical among
others even as the state government reiterated its commitment towards ensuring the accessibility of qualitative
health care to the people of the state.

By Patience Ogbodo BAUCHI — AS  part of its effort to tackle  poverty in the state, the Bauchi State government has approved the sum of N550 million as counterpart contribution to the implementation of the Village Economic Development Solutions.

President of the West African Bar Association (WABA), Mr. Femi Falana, has said unless the law setting up the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and the present law of evidence are review, it would be difficult to prosecute corrupt public officials in the country.
