Stakeholders have called for greater empowerment of women in the country as a means of ensuring their greater participation in the nation’s body politics.

This was the consensus of views on Monday at a one-day leadership capacity building workshop for women leaders in political parties from Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States held in Lagos organized by a civil society, Women Arise for Change.

The Lagos Photo Foundation holds its fifth edition of the annual Lagos Photo Festival in Lagos, Nigeria. It is the first and only international arts festival of photography in Nigeria. In effort to provide a sustainable national framework for the care of older persons in the country, federal government has announced that it will soon launch a National Policy on Ageing in the country.
