SINCE almost 10 months ago today, that Buhari became our President with his Party’s powerful mantra of ‘Change’ we can point to some few areas of the change, the first being his avowed fight against corruption, which is very good and encouraging.

SO I was having a discussion with a friend about the power sector reforms and predictably, we came very quickly to the issue of the tariff review. It took me a very long while to lay out for him facts about the industry that disproved his assumption that the DisCos ‘who were already making so much money, were asking customers to pay more’.

Today, in the wake of the Brussels bombing, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi wrote an oped on radicalism in Islam in which he quoted two verses from the Qur’an which are very profound. I want to be sure he is not lying or misrepresenting Islam.

It is quite disgusting and appalling that despite the trend in civilization some people who claim to be learned still lack ethical values and conduct.

A GOOD number of the reactions to President Muhammadu Buhari’s announcement that Nigeria has joined the Islamic Coalition Against Terrorism, show quite clearly that many Nigerians do not fully understand the president’s motives for this decision.
