THE Edo State governorship election has come and gone and the outcome has left sweet and bitter taste in the mouths of many. For those of us in the All Progressives Congress, APC, the outcome of the election has surely consolidated the hold of the party in the state, nay the country.

THE foundation of any nation state is based sorely on unity, you cannot attain unity without peace and justice. And, you cannot attain peace and justice without love and honesty.

The Shi’a sect’s manifestation in Nigeria: The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), has apparently been ramping up its propaganda. Its strategy has improved to now include delivering its version of the truth using respectable clerics, editorials of respected online publications, talking heads that saturate the airwaves and columnists that seemingly appear to be writing across the divides.

WHEN I listen to the utterances of Nigerian politicians, I remember the song of one musician, Tony Wilson, entitled, “The Politician Man of Many Words”. In that album, the artist described a politician as ‘a man of many words going to so many places, talking to so many people, and telling so many lies’.

IN the 1960s, thinkers coined the word “Knowledge Economy” to announce a radical shift from traditional economies. It was an extraordinary gift by intellectuals of that era to a world that some people thought had become sluggish, uncreative and desperately in need of ideas.
