Mimiko legacy projects, Akeredolu and Ondo people
Many people do not know that Ondo State has been remodeled after the Olusegun Mimiko concept of governance. Let us assume, for example, that rather than the apparently friendly incoming Akeredolu government, a hostile take-over of government by someone not enamored of the Mimiko philosophy of governance was the case, the development architecture of Ondo State would be fundamentally altered right from its foundation!
Imo’s unending charade
LAST December , Imo State built and commissioned a Christmas Tree at a whopping cost of over 600 Million Naira, and in 2016, teachers, government workers, pensioners were owed over eight months salary and pension arrears respectively. Life in Imo State is so rough and tough, yet many wear smiles around the place, hoping that all will be well soon, and some even say it is well. One then begins to wonder what has happened to most of my people who follow the followers?

The anthropocentric calculus posits that whether by centripetal or centrifugal diversions, man has become the monumental leverage on which the social-political, economic and cultural pendulum swings. Man has therefore created laws, principles, social mores, ethics, ceremonial commemorations and religious practices to enhance and concretise the basis of the ‘social contract’ of which ‘man’ are the cardinal focus, the Christmas day being one of them.

IT is not difficult for any discerning mind to know that the Police High Command may have been complicit to the opprobrious outing during the recent Rivers State legislative election re-run.
