The props are ready. The stage is set. The organisers are working round the clock. Major participants are engrossed to the rituals of rehearsal.

It is quite interesting the extent the opposition elements in and outside the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have decided to go to feed the Nigerian people with a salad of lies about the phantom one-term pact that President Goodluck Jonathan purportedly entered into with governors in the build-up to the party’s presidential primaries ahead of the 2011 general elections.

For the past weeks since the incumbent Aviation Minister, Ms. Stella Oduah, was reported to have purchased, through the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), her two latest and most expensive bullet proof vehicles- BMW 760 Li HSS- at the abnormal price of N255m ($ 1.6m), Nigerians, both at home and abroad have been displeased by this act of flamboyancy and many- the living, dead, deaf, blind, lame and disable and the poor- have reacted on different platforms.

In most countries of the world, citizens are required to use both their national driver’s license and the international passport for driving and travels, respectively and as means of identification.
