It would have been a celebration in the city because Arisekola was at the epicentre of the politics and social life of Ibadan.In the words of that Yoruba wordsmith, Alhaji OdolayeAremu, Arisekola was “Idameji Ibadan ti won pelenikan” (Arisekola was “a half of Ibadan mistaken for a single person”).
