OVER the years variegated theories have been created and bandied about Pele the rare prodigy of erudition, Pele the hysterical lover of Pelecentric image-mangling narratives on prominent sons and daughters of Ijaw – theories ideated to give believable verdict on the anatomy of this young man who serially sees himself as a loose cannon deliriously inspired to change the known narratives on personalities like Isaac Boro, Feke, Tompolo, Ezaigba and many others, all in a dedicated pursuit of his pathological iconoclastic vision of society.

At page 13 of the Vanguard Newspaper of Monday 9th April, 2018, Chief Dan Orbih was quoted as saying that there are no water projects being executed by the Edo State Government in collaboration with the European Union.  In his characteristic haste to wail and accuse the performing government of Governor Godwin Obaseki of all sorts of imagined crimes and lapses, he said the ongoing and highly profitable engagement of the Edo State Government with the EU was fraudulent.

The problem stems from misinformation on the part of the government. At a time, they stated that Boko Haram had been degraded. Later, they told us that it had been technically defeated. So, the public is wondering why a government that said it had defeated the sect, needs $1bn to fight the same sect it claimed to have defeated.

By an unwritten agreement, majority of Nigerians have consented to power rotation of elective offices, both in political and community affairs. This agreement is to engender equity, fairness, balance and geo-political spread. Political parties have began to adopt it as a strategy for winning power when it comes to elections at all levels.

Every day, we spare time to pray for our beloved ones, mostly family members. Once in a while, we find time to express appreciation to a boss, who perhaps offered us a job and we say thank you to a medical doctor for a successful surgical operation even though we foot the bills.
