Nobody comes out of it with his reputation intact. Your political adversaries will pound at your name until it reeks of filth. Barack Obama confessed that he usually hides the Newspapers from his children, because he hates their reaction when they read the hate filled diatribes against their father.

Every second Friday in October is World Egg Day and Nigeria is one of the seven countries in Africa that celebrate it. THE country belongs to all of us; whether things turn bad or good we are all in it together and, of course everyone will want things to be better except Sheakau, the Boko Haram leaders and his agents of death. So when we direct our attention to the loop holes in government, it is directed at stimulating actions and appropriate remedy application rather than the pull down syndrome that partisan Nigerian will attribute to it. When election is over, governance begins in earnest and everyone’s attention must be focussed towards moving the nation forward, it is directed at the present and not the past.

MANY Nigerians are puzzled by President Buhari and wonder what his #Change agenda really is. Someone has even gone as far as to say that “Most people are feeling conned, and it’s only morning yet.” Luckily, Buhari’s First Hundred Days now belong to history. So historians can begin to examine it for clues to Buhari’s actual mission and agenda as president, and how he will go about implementing it. This essay is my contribution to that effort. It is helpful to divide his actions into two groups:

IF rebranding is the process of giving something a new image, in order to make it more attractive or successful, then Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State is truly rebranding the state. His actions have involved an extensive rebranding of the state. This is not about the construction of roads, attraction of billion dollars investments, revamping of the agriculture sector or the prompt payment of salaries and pensions.

THE place of women in any endeavour can not be over emphasised and given theirenormous contributions to socio-economic development, there can be no meaningful advancement where women are excluded.

SINCE President Muhammadu Buhari, PMB came to power, people have argued that Ndigbo should be punished for not voting massively for him. Some say it was a political miscalculation by the Igbos, that they put all their eggs in the basket of former President Goodluck Jonathan, they are politically naïve, and all that. Such people do not understand where Igbos are coming from. Igbos are very grateful to God for the turnout of events, because if it were not so, they would have been the victims of post elections violence in the north. Igbos have investments in almost every nook and corner of Nigeria, which would have been torched. Ndigbo are the ones who need a peaceful Nigeria more than any other tribe, because they have more at stake in the unity and stability of Nigeria. We simply continue to thank God for Nigeria, in spite of all.
