I AM Olusola Samuel from Omu-Aran in Irepodun local government of Kwara State, but reside in Surulere, Lagos State. The name certainly doesn’t  ring a bell, Mr. President, but let me assure you that I was one of many, who admired your integrity, patience and honesty. Understandably, your widely acclaimed anti corruption crusade endeared you to me, though some people say you find it a hard nut to forgive your real or perceived traducers. May I also confess to you, Sir, I’m one of those who absolutely loathe Nigerian politicians for their deceit and extravagant lifestyles.

In less than 5 minutes, I got schooled on the power of unity by my father. Growing up, my father’s house was a battle-ground. My twin brothers and I, although great friends to this day, literally fought to the finish virtually every day. My Dad, who must have been sick and tired of the fights, called me into the living-room one morning, and asked me to get a broom from the kitchen.

On Saturday, June 23, my uncle, Dr. Sylvester Ugoh, former Minister of Education, sent me a video clip of Chimamanda Adichie delivering a speech as the Harvard University 2018 Class Day Speaker.

PERHAPS, as a prelude to carrying out the rumoured plot of the Edo State Government to remove the solar-powered streetlights installed by Senator Matthew Urhoghide on several streets in Benin City, the agents of the State Government and the APC have embarked on the removal of the labels on the lampposts, which indicate that Senator Urhoghide is the facilitator of the lighting project.

Nobody in the eastern part of Nigeria and in the other parts of the country will forget in a haste the remarkable and memorable event that took place in Nsukka Diocese five years ago when a real Nigerian with nationalist credentials, a global citizen with global affiliations, affections and associations, yet with an authentic and well-honed African ancestry, Very Rev. Msgr. Godfrey Igwebuike Onah was consecrated and installed as the second Bishop of Nsukka Diocese on 4th July, 2013.
