It was most gratifying to read Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed’s admission last Friday that the judicious management of the Treasury Single Account (TSA) has helped advance the President Muhammadu Buhari administration’s fight against corruption and saved Nigeria from imminent collapse.

It is no longer news that Nigeria’s economy is operating at a recession. With inflation rate currently hovering at a record 16.5, global oil price falling and the effects on Nigerians being real and biting, most governments at all levels now find it difficult to meet up with their wage bills and other necessary obligations owing to these and other circumstances.

Back in 2008 when then Sen. Barack Obama wowed us with his “Yes we can!” Change message (sorry APC, Obama brought “Change” long before Nigerians could say Sai Buhari!), I couldn’t imagine another U.S. presidential election that could be as exciting as that. Boy! Was I wrong?

In today’s digitally connected world, more brands are putting purpose before products and consumers are increasingly embracing experiences over exposure as a more impactful means of connecting with the brand.

IT is imperative we begin to address our minds to issues that undermine our well-being given that today fraud is evident at almost every office you go to for one reason or the other. Indeed, one wonders if there is any government establishment that is devoid of corruption.

It is a season of votes once again. It is a season of making decisions to reject poverty in all its ramifications. It is a season to inject in ourselves another consciousness of development akin to what obtains in other climes.

Every girl makes mistakes with money at some point in time: not planning adequately, not saving enough, spending recklessly on something frivolous e.t.c. Unfortunately, some Nigerian girls seem to be eternally stuck in the miry clay of certain money mistakes and are not even aware of how these financial pitfalls are significantly derailing their finances.

There is so much misinformation in Nigeria today and I really can not understand how the media which was like a Rottweiler under former President Goodluck Jonathan has suddenly turned into a chihuahua. What is going on? A lot of Nigerian journalists have reduced themselves to generators of excuses for President Muhammadu Buhari and I am concerned for the fourth estate of the realm. Really concerned!

Bearing in mind the volatile nature of the Niger Delta region, President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has started toeing a new path to address the myriad of problems there.

Various sociologists, political scientists, anthropologists and social historians have attempted to stratify society into a set of hierarchical social categories or classes. They have attempted rather unsuccessfully to agree on the appropriate classes but the most common remain the upper, middle and lower classes.
