NATURAL disasters often occur without prior notice. In most cases, when they occur, they have devastating effects on human lives and property. While not much can be done to prevent nature from taking its course, early warning mechanisms should be taken seriously to mitigate the effects of natural disasters.

Africa’s media landscape has come of age. Given where it all began, we cannot but say there have been a couple of improvements when compared to what obtains today. The only challenge is that the media narrative is still being dominated and controlled by the advanced or western media.

We hope the owner of the universe will tarry in His visit. If so, there’s every likelihood that, the incumbent Governor of Akwa Ibom State, will continue with a second term in office.

This is the last day of my first trip to Africa as the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs.   I spent most of my 32-year career as an American Diplomat on this continent, and I was fortunate to serve twice in Nigeria. 

THE winning of the tempestuous battle of wits against terror is not an easy task but today, Nigeria is a much safer place. This is thanks to our Gallant Troops and their commanders.
