SOME years ago, Friday May 14, 1999 , I wrote an article along this line and it was published in Vanguard newspaper. However, before that major election, we must first deal with Bayelsa governorship election in August 2015 and Kogi in December 2015. These two States promise to be battlegrounds for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the new opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

THE 2015 general elections have come and gone, but the ripples of victory and defeat that they have generated across the country have been so profound that they are yet to settle.

The 8th National Assembly will be inaugurated in June. The election of the Senate President in the upper chamber will take the centre stage, ditto for the House of Representatives’ speakership.
