SubscribeA testimony on Baru’s birthday
Dr Maikanti Baru, outgoing Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is 60. Interestingly, this landmark will be the most anticipated by his friends, staff and admirers. A senior staff of the Corporation wrote of his anticipation on a group WhatsApp forum: “As he clocks 60, I am waiting with bated breath because something in me says we might yet see Dr Baru in another capacity. Congratulations Sir and wishing you the best in the future.”
Shinkafi (Marafan Sokoto) within the context of current security challenges
Baba Marafa left us on the July 6th, 2016, making this my third personal tribute in what has so far been the longest and toughest three years of our lives in all aspects. Air Peace’s soaring growth
What is surprising many Nigerians is how Air Peace grew within a space of five years to become Nigeria’s largest carrier with over 25 aircraft in its fleet and set international operations.
Ruga: The hypocrisy in us
The dog whistle against the Fulani tribe is getting dangerously out of control. The Ruga controversy exemplifies this assertion. The anti-Ruga hysteria is a deliberate attempt to isolate and demonise the Fulani people. In the past, to stoke fear and polarization the press reports about an incipient Hausa/Fulani oligarchic domination, now it is fulanisation and Fulani domination. Isolating the Fulani for this diatribe propaganda; it undermines national cohesion and targets PMB, who is a Fulani.
Model local govt administration
Accomplishing the dreams, aspirations and targeted goals of Nsukka Local Government Area, LGA, of Enugu State wasn’t a herculean task for its 25th Executive Chairman, Chief Patrick Kenechukwu-Omeje jnr.
