SubscribeLagos: Communication skills for effective service delivery
Organisations are usually looking for people with two skills sets: ‘hard skills’ and‘ soft skills.’ As the name goes, ‘hard skills’ are the specific, teachable abilities that can be defined and measured, such as typing, writing, solving math, reading and the ability to use software programmes.
Breaking fresh grounds in Marketing Communication Mix
Adjectives such as total, comprehensive, ornate and lavish flooded my mind after watching the infographic newly minted by SA&B Mega Resources Limited to propagate its offerings. The infographic is what Americans would describe with an idiom as the whole enchilada in integrated Marketing Communications.
The Ican test for Delta APC governorship aspirants
A primary election is an election to narrow the field of aspirants to any elective office, and it comes before a general election. Under Nigerian electoral laws, primaries are held by political parties to nominate candidates who in their opinion can win the election for the party.
Why Ekwueme is different – Ben Ezeibe
WHEN the second republic Vice President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme took ill and was admitted in a private hospital in Enugu, one person who felt so bad about the development, especially when it was reported that the 85 year-old lawyer and architect was in coma, was Chief Ben Ezeibe. Ezeibe is from the same Orumba North local government area of Anambra State as the former Vice President. Though much younger, he had remained a loyalist of Dr. Ekwueme for nearly 60 years.

Orji Uzor Kalu and the many misadventures of desperate favour-seeking man
As Orji Uzor Kalu continues to face trial over alleged diversion of Abia State funds to the whopping tune of N2.9bn in his time as governor of the state at the Federal High Court, Lagos, and his many conflicted statements and political activities that portray him as a desperate favour-seeking man, one is compelled to attempt to ask how an otherwise fine man has so suddenly fallen from grace to the extent that his entrance at any time into Abia State where he once held sway as governor for eight years is greeted with disdain and odium.
Anti-corruption war: A campaign compromised?
IT was May 29, 2015 when that speech was made by the then newly inaugurated President Muhammadu Buhari. That punchy line resonated across the country, from the vast landscape of the north to the forest region of the south. The long awaited nemesis of the chronically corrupt and unrepentant enemies of good governance has arrived. It shall no longer be business as usual. The optimism on the part of the citizens was infectious.
Once upon a time before Buhari
“When it comes to value, no one talks a better game than those in communications. It’s our business, after all. But when it comes to measuring leadership competencies and effectiveness, nothing speaks louder than the bottom line.” Anonymous The above analogy perfectly fits the Nigerian state under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari. Bishop Jacob Udobang, the visionary ‘world pope’
TODAY, we remember late Bishop Jacob Brown Udobang who was born into a humble Christian home of late Mr and Mrs Brown Udobang, in the remote and impoverished oil community of Ikot Ekpang, Odoro Ikot Clan, Ikpa Ibom in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. From the chronicles of his birth, he was predestined to be a prophet from his mother’s womb as his childhood was replete with outstanding and uncommon traits even at the schools he attended. He was always sickly particularly during examination periods, yet always emerging the best among his contemporaries in academic activities.
Issues in Anambra guber election
Although development is a continuum and no administration can lay exclusive claim to all the achievements, Anambra has recorded in recent years in the security and infrastructure sectors
