I must say that I was rather disappointed in the Benue State Governor’s initial response to the killing of 73 residents of Benue State by killer Fulani herdsmen.

“I dreamt my mother ripped my face off with her fingernails, cut some of my fingers and toes off, and ripped my arm off”, said a lady who had become addicted to codeine. Martinak et al (2015) reported that this fellow carried out a failed attempt to stab her mother and engaged in other violent acts as a result of her delusion.

There is no way anyone can manage a megacity State  such  as Lagos,  unless  you have this atmosphere of peace and harmony.

His lack of professionalism and ready capacity to perpetually say the wrong thing at the right time is the reason why he should be relieved forthwith of that important position.  He obviously loves the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris more than Ibrahim Idris loves himself.  When subordinates are sworn to that kind of oath of sycophancy, they do more harm than good.

Nobody can deny that Nigeria has serious problem on her hands, as constituted by crises between herdsmen and farmers in different parts of the country. Lives are being taken wantonly, sorrow, tears and blood visited on many homes, and dread descending on towns and communities. It is a national emergency, which is being responded to by the concerned authorities.
