Following the re-run election held in Rivers state, Saturday, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced the results in some of districts.

The former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Uche Secondus has accused President Muhammadu Buhari and the Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi of deploying the military to invade Rivers state following the re-run poll. He said the Rivers state people have no federal might but have God who will take revenge against Amaechi for disrupting the peace in the state.

More drama trail the Rivers re-run election held Saturday as videos have kept emerging of allegation of electoral fraud and intimidations, ballot box and result sheets snatching as well as violence meted on both INEC officials and the people of Rivers state

Rivers election: As early as 8.am, voters trooped out en mass across the various polling units in Rivers state to exercise their franchise in the state’s re-run election.

Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike has strongly said that he has a lot of evidence that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and the police have made plots to rig the coming re-run election in the state. Wike alleged that the police has deployed some officers to intimidate voters in the state, part of the ploy to rig the elections.
