Last week’s public presentation and launch of an Audio Project on Igbo Character and Values by Ndigbo Ethics Revival Forum(NEREF) in collaboration with Ndigbo Lagos indeed, created an avenue for reflection on reasons why the once focused, organised and hardworking Igbo people of Nigeria fell from the height of their grace.

After his last solo exhibition in Nigeria in 1991 and series of exhibitions in his United States base , one of Nigeria’s leading artists in the international scene, Prof Dele Jegede last week broke his long absence from the home front with his successful hosting of a solo exhibition in Lagos, Nigeria .

During the recently concluded “Strategic Service Delivery Management and Power of Value” workshop, organised by the National Gallery of Art for Senior staff, the importance of training to achieve a high standard of productivity among staff of the gallery was highlighted.

When the first group of dancers at the musical concert put together by the National Troupe of Nigeria (NTN), stormed the stage, their stylish and energetic dance steps simply blew the minds of the audience which comprised a mixture of the young, old and religious who mistook the performers for professionals, oblivious of the fact that such performance capable of reviving theartre-going-culture in Nigeria , emanated from the 2011 set of new trainees of NTN.

All is now set for the 10th edition of Nigeria International Book Fair (NIBF 2011) scheduled to hold from Monday, 9th May through Saturday, 14th May, 2011 at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos State, Nigeria.
