Performance poet, Dike Chukwumerije stages Made in Nigeria

One year after it was unveiled on stage, the “Made in Nigeria” performance poetry production makes a final stop at the Merit House, Abuja on October 1 and the show’s architect, Dike Chukwumerije has revealed that the essence of the show is to highlight the fact that there really is someone called a “Nigerian”.

Graig Phillips budding movie makers showcase creative works

As part of giving back to society, Graig Phillips, a multimedia institute in Lagos recently showcased and premiered creative theatrical works of people who participated in a one month intensive free programme organised by the institute at Cuba Libre Center, Victoria Island, Lagos. With flash fiction becoming the trend in the creative industry, it was amazing to behold the stunning films which participants exhibited.

The book, In the Struggle, written by Comrade Ogbu Alexander Ameh and published by OJ Digital Press, centers on a character, Ojireto. The book is a reflection of the early life of Ojireto and how he came in contact with the Marxist Socialist Ideology. While the book may incite a controversy going by its title from a radical intellectual perspective, the title also serves many purposes because it can be distinguished from others like it on organization, mobilization, and   revolutionary change advocacy. In that, it is written primarily for activists, labour leaders, students, women and concerned citizens who desire genuine change.
