THE Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has thrown a bait to the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC to allow it replicate strategies used in protecting Oil and Gas pipelines nationwide on the telecommunications infrastructure.

No fewer than 25 entrepreneurs from Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda who have innovative social business ideas with the potential to improve their communities, in the East African region, and the rest of the world are expected to get mentorship from Insiders4GoodEast Africa Fellowship.

It costs between fifteen to twenty million naira to retain a radio license in Nigeria for five years. This does not include the cost of equipment, infrastructure and manpower required to start up a radio. This means that the average young Nigerian with dreams of owning his own radio station might only achieve his goal if he stays asleep and dreams on.
