The rejection by Frenchman, Paul LeGuen of an offer to manage the Super Eagles from the Nigeria Football Federation early this week was one of the biggest sports stories that came out of Nigeria. A lot of reactions have trailed what some have described as a show of shame.

Nigerians were shocked when news broke out that the national U-23 football team preparing for the Rio Olympics were threatened over lack of fund to cater for their stay in the US where they had gone to train for the Olympics.

Condemnations have continued to trail the delay by the Nigerian authorities in releasing funds to the country’s contigents, billed to participate in the 2016 Rio Olympics, holding in Brazil between August 5-21, 2016.
