Election: Observers call on Int’l Community, FG, others, to investigate attack on colleagues

Members of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)-accredited local and foreign Observers and Congress of Civil Society Organizations in Nigeria, who monitored the March 9 Governorship and House of Assembly Elections in Enugu State, have called on “the Federal Government, Securities Agencies, the International Community and Human Rights Organizations” to investigate and take action on “the brutal attack and assault on our colleagues (observers) in Umuida, Enugu Ezike, Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, Enugu State by supporters of a candidate”.

AD gov candidate rejects Lagos election results, heads to tribunal

Lagos State Alliance for Democracy, AD, governorship candidate in the just-concluded elections, Chief  Owolabi Salis has rejected the results, alleging that All Progressives Congress, APC, colluded with workers of the Independent national Electoral Commission, INEC, manipulate votes.

PDP bombs BMO over “neutrality” claim

ABUJA- The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Tuesday chided the Buhari Media Organization, BMO,  over the its claim that President Muhammadu Buhari’s non-interference in the electoral process was the reason his party,  the All Progressives Congress,  APC, lost in some states in the recently concluded governorship elections.
