A controversy of some sort is raging in the National Assembly over the Appeal Court judgment of November 1 that ruled in favour of 10 sacked federal lawmakers from Katsina State. Will frayed nerves be calmed?

Asia has been a good hunting ground for the Golden Eaglets, since the maiden edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup was held in China in 1985.

Coach Manu Garba is a devout Moslem. Humble and unassuming, Garba has steered the Eaglets to great heights at the 2013 FIFA u-17 World Cup final, which ended at the Mohamed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, with the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria beating Mexico 3 -0, which was a great show of football artistry by youngsters.

To the uninitiated, seeing a tortoise could probably be at the zoo, but for those who indulge in sacrificial practices, they know where exactly to go, they know the right market and they know the right people to call on.

THE case in Rivers State in relation to state roads is what many close watchers have termed “over ambition”. The common feeling is that the Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s administration set for itself an overbearing award of road contracts with a slow pace of execution. Why some of the roads have been completed, it is not happy story for most areas.

THE Comrade Adams Oshiomhole led administration in Edo state since its inception on November 12, 2008 has left no one in doubt about its avowed commitment to road construction throughout the three Senatorial zones in the state.

Are the residents, commuters and motorists of Ifoshi axis, in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area of Lagos state doomed to suffering as a result of the on-going road construction in the area, which has lasted several without any tangible word on ground? A few of the residents who spoke to Saturday Vanguard demanded an answer to this poignant question.

THE State of roads in Ebonyi state has over the years improved based on the effort of past and present administrations who had invested huge financial resources to ensure its development, reconstruction and usability by both motorists and pedestrians across the state.
