Sexless marriages on the increase!

How do you advise a couple who have not had sex together for close to two years? This was one of the interventions I had over the week. Both are under 50 years of age and have been married for less than 20 years. They are both committed to the welfare of their three lovely children, the church and care of their extended families. There is no dispute of any sort between them and they are not separated by distance either, as they live together and see each other every day. It was not a complaint by either of them.

When it’s magnanimous to forgive and forget!

FAMILIARITY not only breeds contempt, it also breeds a hotbed of opportunities for unfaithfulness. The more close-knit a crop of friends are, the wider the chances of swopping partners, albeit discreetly. Tope’s recent experience, however, took the cake when it comes to how far you can go in forgiving a friend who ‘snatched’ the partner you believed you could have married.

My husband is in his mid 50s and I am 48. It’s over three years since we made love and I’ve suggested that he sees a specialist but he won’t, he shrugs that the specialist will only say that at our age, that type of thing stops.

The benefits of alcohol

My best mate drives me up the wall sometimes. He hates alcohol and makes drinkers like me feel as if we’re committing a mortal sin. He says all these stories about red wine doing you good are garbage. He agrees that one glass of wine cleans your arteries, but so does vinegar.
