Former Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing recent developments within the party in Delta State.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ned Nwoko, has vowed to challenge the outcome of the party’s senatorial primary in court, insisting that he won the exercise based on results and evidence allegedly gathered from the wards.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Tuesday adopted Senator Sandy Onor as its sole consensus presidential candidate for the 2027 election and immediately declared itself the only opposition force capable of taking power from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Former Minister of Transportation and presidential aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, on Tuesday rejected the outcome of the party’s presidential primary, accusing the leadership of disenfranchising members and manipulating the process.

The African Action Congress has adopted human rights activist and publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, as its consensus presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

“He bought the forms, came for screening, passed the screening, and we were waiting for the primaries before he opted to step down,” Yilwatda stated.

ON Thursday, May 14, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State declared his presidential intention and said he would run on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in alliance with the Allied Peoples’ Movement, APC, in the 2027 election.

“I give this victory to the glory of God and to the people of Enugu, who have been oppressed in the last three years and overburdened with excessive and obnoxious taxes.

On Thursday, May 14, Makinde declared his intention to run for President on the platform of PDP and APM alliance in the 2027 election.

Yesterday, President Bola Tinubu won the presidential primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in style.
