The ruling All Progressives Congress APC has reacted to a call by its splinter group, the Reformed APC asking Senate President Bukola Saraki to declare vacant the seat of Sen. Godswill Akpabio for defecting from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP to the APC.

Benue state government has accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, of turning itself to the strike squad and law court of the All Progressives Congress, APC, led federal government following the commission’s alleged untoward actions against perceived opponents of the government.

Less than three weeks after the defection of Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state to opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), his name sake, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu-Tambuwal has led no fewer than 10,000 people to dump the party.

Associates and supporters of  Akwa Ibom State governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel were at the weekend celebrating what they claimed as the failure of the erstwhile Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio to trigger a political meltdown of the state with his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, runners up in the last Osun state congress, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi said the party’s governorship candidate Senator Ademola Adeleke should blamed for the brakedown in the peace talk between them.
