GOVERNORS elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday, declared support for their Osun State counterpart, Ademola Adeleke, in his effort to restore order and protect the lives and property of citizens of the state.

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has revealed that he personally funded the purchase of his office chair after his predecessor, Godwin Obaseki, left with the one bearing Nigeria’s Coat of Arms.

According to him, the assurance of the NNPP producing the next president of the country is clear if the process is free and fair.

It is the position of the justice minister that going by the decision of the appellate court, the tenure of the restored officials would only expire in October.

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has called on residents to exercise their voting rights peacefully, tasking politicians to abide by the rule of law amidst the state’s political crisis.

He said the PDP-GF’s concern stems from the fact that the Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke, had warned about the imminent breakdown of law and order and appealed to the responsible authorities to act to forestall this.

It also urged its Committee on Judiciary and Human Rights to investigate the matter and report back in two weeks.

“There was no doubt in my mind; MKO Abiola won the election. He satisfied all the requirements,” he said.
