The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has adjourned the state collation of results for the Bayelsa governorship election.

Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Saturday’s Imo governorship election, Sen. Athan Achonu, has called for a cancellation of results from some polling units over alleged irregularities.

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state, Usman Ododo, has won the polling unit of Yahaya Bello, the incumbent governor of the state. 

Elder statesman Edwin Clark has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to investigate reported cases of irregularities in Saturday’s governorship elections held in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi.

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has suspended elections in nine out of 10 Registration Areas or Wards in Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area of Kogi state.

Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), said vote buying and electoral violence remained the sore points in the Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi governorship elections.
