Senators from the South-West geopolitical zone, yesterday, insisted that the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola  Tinubu, needed Ndigbo of the South-East to succeed in his renewed hope agenda for Nigeria.

Former national lawmakers have urged the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to allow the entrenchment of democracy in Nigeria by staying off the election of presiding officers of the incoming 10th National Assembly.

President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, and Speaker, House of Reps, Femi Gbajabiamila, will lead other presiding and principal officers of the National Assembly to the meeting

The candidacy of the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, Hon. Muktar Aliyu Betara in the speakership race for the 10th National Assembly seemed to have received some tacit endorsement from the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has moved to the Defence Guest House in Maitama District, Abuja.

He said members of the committee were drawn from various sectors of human endeavours to serve in the committee for their wealth of experience, honesty and  track record of service.

Ahead of the May 29 inauguration of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and other party leaders including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on Tuesday paid a visit on him.

“He inherited the hatred Buhari has against Igbo, especially when the President-elect has said he will continue from where the incumbent president stopped”

“We want you to sweat well now for this party until you deliver victory. Until Bola Tinubu becomes the President of Nigeria, we will not give you but a soaked sliced bread”

Ahead of the May 29 inauguration, President-elect, Bola Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria today.
