The spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council on Strategic Communications, Dele Momodu has revealed the main reason the standard bearer of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, amassed the highest votes in Lagos State at the presidential polls on Saturday. 

A human rights lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, has said the presidential election held on Saturday was marred with suppression and intimidation of voters which made the results unacceptable by many Nigerians. 

“Saying Wike was key to the victory of our Candidate Tinubu is an understatement. The governor was instrumental to our victory 1million times. “He told Rivers people to vote someone that will support the state. He mobilised human beings and resources to ensure this victory. We commend him.”

“While the collation of the election results were on in Tudun Wada Local Government INEC office, which showed that the NNPP candidate for Tudun Wada/Duguwa Federal Constituency, Air Commodore Salisu Yushau, was recording success, some thugs set our campaign office on fire, burning 13 members of the Party to death as evidenced in the video doing round the social media.”

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has stated that he is not desperate about his senatorial ambition and that in political battles, ‘you win some, you lose some’.
