The party, which accused the ruling PDP of abusing its incumbency power by encouraging a do-or-die brand of politics that is morally bankrupt and bereft of principles, warned that the trend must be checked to avert a situation where Nigeria becomes a one-party state.

A Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja has awarded a penalty of N20 million as damages against some officials of the Lagos State government for wrongful detention, beating one Alhaji Adisa Adewale and the demolition of his property in Shangisa/Magodo area of the state.
