By Aliyu Dangida & Tina Akannam DUTSE — THE Jigawa State government will sponsored 100 best indigenous students who passed their West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO) examinations for further studies in various courses overseas, Governor Sule Lamido has said.

MEMBER representing Ika federal constituency, Doris Uboh, yesterday at Agbor, Delta State, organized a special prayer session for the quick recovery of President Umaru Yar’Adua, noting that what the president needed now was intercessory prayer.

The new management of Oceanic Bank Plc said it has recovered bad debt owed the bank to the tune of N41 billion within the last three months, which has significantly resulted in its investors’ deposit base growing by 23 per cent. This amounted to about N528 billion as at 30 November 2009, from N430 billion it was in August, prior to the sack of the bank’s former management team.
