Okogie urges Jonathan to implement Uwais report

THE Archbishop of Lagos,Anthony Cardinal Okogie, has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to implement the Justice Mohammed Uwais-led report on electoral reforms, adding that credible elections have eluded this country for long.

Ogbulafor’s resignation in line with rule of law – PDP

Ibadan—Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, National Vice Chairman (South West) of PDP, says the resignation of the National Chairman of the party, Chief Vincent Ogbulafor, was a demonstration of the rule of law. Oladipo said in Ibadan that the resignation showed that the PDP believes in the rule of law. He said the resignation had brought credibility to the party and Nigeria in general.

Excess Crude Account: depleted to $ 4.393 billion

The Nation Excess crude account has been depleted from about $20 billion in 2007 to only $4.393 billion as at the end of April, 2010. This was disclosed at the week end by the Minister of State for Finance, Mr. Remi Babalola who is the chairman of the federation account allocation committee.

Over 50 militants go on shooting spree
