The Chrysler Group now known as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles after the Fiat-Chrysler merger, has extended its amazing run of year over year gains, with May 2016 marking the 74th consecutive month where the brands combined to move more units globally than they had the same month, one year earlier. It was a slight improvement from May 2015 to May 2016, with the company improving by just 1%, but with around 3,200 more vehicles sold last month – the streak has continued.

As the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, campaign on expired tyres gains momentum, Cambistry Ventures Limited, CVL, dealers in automotive products has come up with two world class tyre brands to save the situation. Managing Director of CVL, Sir Ikechukwu Okafor, said that it is regrettable the way and manner substandard tyres enter into the country and as a result his company, Cambistry, decided to introduce the world class tyre brands Continental and General Tyre, both manufactured in Europe.

The Chairman of Globe Motors, a leading automobile company in Nigeria, Mr. William Anumudu, has promised Nigerians quality and affordable vehicles from its stable when it starts rolling out cars from its ultra-modern plant in Lekki, Lagos by next month. Mr. Anumudu, disclosed in Lagos that the company is putting finishing touches to its assembly plant located at the Lekki area which has a capacity for 40,000 vehicles on completion and would generate employment for 3,500 Nigerians. Globe is investing about $150 million dollars in the plant..
