THE President of Nigerian Association of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, NACCIMA, Chief Bassey Edem has called on the Federal Government to introduce policies that would reduce the cost of production in the nation’s automobile industry.

The Nigerian Automotive Manufacturers Association (NAMA) has criticised the procurement of wholly imported SUVs instead of comparable locally assembled brands by the Upper Legislative Chamber as despicable and catastrophic to about 4000 jobs and roughly 50 ancillary industries currently engaged by the home-grown Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs.)

Foremost actor and film producer, Kunle Afolayan has given a thumbs up to the newly introduced Peugeot 508 after driving the car assembled in Kaduna by Pan Nigeria for about five months.
