The Olunloyo Airport Park Ibadan, Oyo state capital, will wear a whole new look soon, as US-based Nigerian artist, Jonathan Imafidor has been commissioned to create a monumental sculpture to be installed at the park.

The art world is already buzzing in anticipation as consummate artist, Dr. Kunle Adeyemi presents his long-awaited solo exhibition succinctly tagged, “Innovative Testament” at Tim & Carol Art Gallery, Ikeja GRA, from Sunday, June 18 through July 2, 2023.

 Colourful paintings of 20 emerging Artists; 8 digital artists and 12 non-digital artists are currently showing at the 6th edition of The Artists Commune, holding at the One Art Gallery space, Lagos.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a relatively new technology in town that is both exciting and worrisome – exciting on account of the many complex problems it helps humans to solve, and worrisome on account of the potentials it has, not only to takeover many humans’ jobs and render some of our faculties redundant, but also the convictions its creators have that the technology, especially the Super AI versions, can completely destroy humanity and our entire civilization due to the inability of their creators to control them.

It was a beautiful display of culture, costumes, and vibrant colours, as the Lagos State Government held an inaugural cultural display to appreciate Lagosians for re-electing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
